Simply stated, hypnosis is a method of training or re-training the mind. It has proved to
be a powerful tool to create changes in habits, attitudes and behaviors and has been
used successfully for stress reduction, to address addictions, promote healing, to
assist in weight issues and much more. Many have used hypnosis to help resolve
issues where they have felt blocked, thereby allowing them to more easily move forward
toward their goal. By achieving a comfortable trance state (much like the state of very
relaxed daydreaming), your conscious mind is much more open and it is possible to
give the subconscious mind suggestions that then form new habits or behaviors.
Before the hypnosis session, you will be interviewed to
get an understanding of what you wish to accomplish.
During the hypnosis session, you will experience deep
relaxation. The process is something like a deep
guided meditation that begins with suggestions of a
progressive relaxation of the body and mind. Once you
are fully relaxed, you will be given suggestions to reach
the results you want to achieve. The optimum state is
that place just before you fall asleep where you are
deeply relaxed, but still hearing everything that is being
said. Through this simple but powerful process, you
will develop new patterns of thinking and behavior.
