Although we don’t fully understand how it works, simply stated, hypnosis is a method of
re-training the mind. By working with the subconscious mind, old patterns can be
replaced with new ones that enables the client to reach his or her goal. Through the

Hypnosis is not sleep, but an altered state of
consciousness in which a person accesses that part
of his or her mind that is capable of adjusting the
problem without the conscious, thinking mind directing
it. Once you are fully relaxed, the unconscious mind is
open to suggestions to allow the results you want to
achieve. Through this simple but powerful process,
you will develop new patterns of thinking and behavior.
During the pleasant state of hypnosis, brain waves
slow down significantly. Some people go into a light
trance and hear everything that is said, while others
relax more deeply and feel as if they’ve had a very
restful nap.
